Jana G. Younes is a filmmaker, co-founder of the Beirut Contemporary Ballet, and movement practitioner. As a dancer, choreographer, teacher, and film director she has collaborated on stage and off, in front of the lens and behind the camera, across a wide spectrum of creative endeavors, including fashion films, music videos, dance cinema, television series, tango festival featured appearances, architectural explorations, and all manner of dance performances. Her award-winning films Orenda, And So Do I, and Ghazal have screened at festivals around the world. Jana’s diverse experience and body of work is unified by an embodied physical poetry and a strong tendency to make all things vibrate at high frequencies.

Jens has been active as a professional dancer since 1992 and as a choreographer 2 years later.
Working in Denmark from 1992 to 2010 he has been a central figure in the Danish dance scene as a choreographer, teacher, and director.

From 2010 to 2019 he has been working out of Beirut. Alongside teaching, coaching, and creating internationally he has here been perfecting his teaching and coaching work – resulting in eye-opening and refined contemporary, partnering, and ballet classes, all central in the development of the company
From 2019 Jens added Paris to his homes and is sharing his time between the two cities; teaching in France and creating for and developing Beirut Contemporary Ballet in Beirut.
As an award-winning choreographer, he has throughout his career been active internationally, touring with groups as well as solo works. He has created works for companies around the world as well as teaching workshops and dance classes for companies, universities, and professional dancers.

Wafa was trained in dance at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Damascus from 2008 to 2012. Alongside Bouty was also a dancer with Sima Dance Company participating in performances at the Syrian Opera House. Since 2012 he has been working in Lebanon dancing and choreographing for several projects.
He was the only Arab dancer in Star Academy in season 9 and 11.
He reached the quarter final of the So You Think You Can Dance – Yalla Norkos competition in 2014.
In addition to his full dance schedule he has since 2013 been an instructor in studios around Lebanon where he not only teaches but also creates contemporary and Hip Hop pieces and choreographies - that has been presented at Casino du Liban.

later took a different form when she joined Beirut Contemporary Ballet.
Combining her skills, Lea’s role exceeds being a dancer and is currently BCB’s Operations Officer and Assistant Creative.
Lea now, aims to utilize her passion for dance to create a better reality with like-minded people.
Anthony is a performing dance artist who started his dance journey in his hometown Beirut.
At an early age, he took his talent all the way to New York, Los Angeles and marked his spot in prestigious studios and stages.
In Las Vegas, he held the main male dancer’s role on ‘Zumanity’ of ‘Cirque du soleil’.

As he bridges between the two continents, preserving the contemporary approach to the body and mind is on the trail of Anthony’s everyday endeavors.
Elodi Rose is a dancer from the Boston, USA. She has been working with Beirut Contemporary Ballet since 2020 as a company member, performing onstage in Trespass and Bodies of Water and on film for numerous projects. Prior, she danced in San Francisco as a freelancer.

She has 20+ years of experience and training in classical ballet, contemporary ballet, modern, and improvisation. She has had the pleasure of dancing professionally in Europe, South Africa, the USA, and now Lebanon.
Elodi is a alumnus of the Alonzo King LINES Ballet Training Program and Boston Arts Academy, graduating with the Award for Artistic Excellence. She is passionate about collaboration of artistic disciplines, working closely with musicians, filmmakers, sculptors, and photographers globally.

She started her dance journey at the age of 11, inspired by mother and sister who also dance. Lilia is currently dancing around the world and has been part of BCB since 2021, which teaches her to look at movement differently and and experiment in broader ways of application. Lilia believes that dance is beyond steps - It is an open sea, and her goal is diving deep into it and traversing through its different layers.
Khatchig started dance at the age of 10 in an Armenian dance group in Syria. He later continued his education at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts Dance Department in Damascus and was a performer at the Syrian Opera House. He learned pantomime for 2 years and performed in many kind of scenes.

He later graduated and worked as an assitant lecturer in Higher Institute of Dance ( Jazz, Contemporary and Modern) and now he has dancing and performing with the Beirut Contemporary ballet since 2021.
Denise has been dancing for around 9 years now, with training in various styles of dance, primarily contemporary, hiphop, ballet, and jazz.
